Eerik Wissenz runs the Projet du Feu Solaire since 2007.

Currently working on Decentralized Democracy.

Finnish-Canadian, he is mostly concerned with furthering and implementing ecological philosophy. Though he has a bit of training in mathematics from university (Ottawa University and Carleton University), outdoor survival from his days as a conscript in the Finnish defence forces, and creativity from his days as a creature, he is mostly self taught.

To apply and test his understanding he has traveled to Mexico, Cuba, Spain, Finland, India and France where he lives currently.

Currently working on:
The novel "Fluxus" received the Découverte grant from CNL in 2006 - this novel is nearing its final stages.
"The Wind of the North - ecology since a while blowing", an ecological voyage in Finland(summer 2009).

Eva Wissenz is treasurer of the non-profit association Solar Fire Project (Projet du Feu Solaire).

She has animated a writing work-shop for the terminally ill ward, volunteered at the children's emergency hospital, and tutored adolescents with academic difficulties.

PhD of Italian literature at the Sorbonne, Paris, where she had the opportunity to teach 3 years. During many years she translated texts from Italian (notably poet-ethical philosopher Giacomo Leopardi) and built a free-lance career in press and voyage guides, supporting ecology as much as possible (use of recycled paper, organic locations and ways of travelling ecologically...). She left Paris a few years ago to dedicate herself to writing and global ecology. She believes books can be strong tools to spread the reality of non-violence, free mind and more sustainable habits.

Voyaged in all of France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Morocco, Belgium, Netherlands, Turkey, Canada, United States, England, Cuba, Finland and India.

Conversion to a more sustainable life closer to nature in Algonquin Park, Canada.
